⚠️ As of October 17, 2023, the new synchronization of extras is available.
From the profile of each of your accommodations, in the rates section, access to configure and link your extras with the portals.
This way, you'll be able to manage all your extras from a single place.
If you already have an extra created, simply edit it and select the type of extra you want to synchronize with the portals.
Pay attention to the icons of the portals that are connecting, as not all extras are supported by the portals.
For instance, the final cleaning extra is supported by all portals. However, the parking extra is not supported by Airbnb.
🔴 The following points should be considered when synchronizing an extra
Once you specify the type of extra you want to synchronize, it will be configured and managed from a single location, which will be the extras section in the accommodation profile. Keep in mind that if you previously configured it in another section, as was the case, for example, in a complete Booking.com connection, where cleaning was defined within the Booking.com connection settings.
The period (date range) is only supported for bookings through the booking engine; no portal allows you to set application dates for an extra. So, if there were dates on a synchronized extra, they would apply throughout the year.
If you do not wish to synchronize an extra, you should choose "other" as the type. This way, for example, you can publish extras only for your booking engine.
The extras you synchronize with the portals, and therefore have a defined type, will be included in the total booking amount and will be itemized in each booking you receive.
The "required" option only applies to some extras. As you know, extras like final cleaning are always included in the total booking amount and cannot be selected by the traveler at the time of booking. Electricity, parking, Internet, firewood, crib, and pets are always optional.
The "assumed by the owner" option will help you use the amount of that extra to calculate the service commission or view it in the expense control.
These are the extras you can synchronize with the portals. Although some of them are not supported by all portals.
⚠️ Attention! Until October 17, 2023, and as long as you do not perform the synchronization of extras from the profile of each of your accommodations, the extras with each of the portals you connect to will be managed and operated differently.
How each extra is synchronized with the portals
As you may already know, each portal works different and therefore all XML synchronizations can have details and differences between them, depending on what can be synchronized or not with that portal.
When you create the extra in AvaiBook, we will show you with which extra is available with each portal:
If it is not possible to synchronize with any of the portals, the portal logo will appear without color and above it the message indicating that it is not synchronized:

Cleaning
It is only possible to connect it as a mandatory extra. If you want to offer it as optional, you can create it as “other” and it will only be applied in the AvaiBook booking engine.
Applicable all year round (it is not possible to connect it only for specific periods).
Booking: this extra will appear in the “VAT/Fees/charges” section of your Booking extranet.
Pets
In order to create this extra, it is necessary to have previously marked that you allow pets in the accommodation rules, in the AvaiBook content manager:

Booking.com only allows to indicate if there is an additional supplement for pets. You can see this information in the Booking.com settings in AvaiBook.
Airbnb only allows this supplement to be defined per stay. The amount will be divided equally between all days of the stay and will be included in your nightly rate.

Firewood
Can be synchronized with Booking, Google and the booking engine.
In the portals with which it is synchronized, it is a mandatory extra and applies throughout the year (it is not possible to choose by period).
It can be configured both per stay and per day.
Booking: this extra will appear in the “VAT/Fees/charges” section of your Booking extranet.
Crib
Can be synchronized with Booking, Google and the booking engine.
The price will be for 1 crib only. The minimum age will be 0 years old and the maximum age will be taken from the configuration of the guests\' ages (baby). You will find it in: Rates section > Configure guest ages > Minimum age of children
It is only possible to connect it as an option:
Towels
These extras can be connected to Booking, Google and the booking engine.
It is only possible to connect them as obligatory extras and of application during the whole year for the portals.
It can be synchronized both per stay and per day.
Booking: this extra will appear in the “VAT/Fees/charges” section of your Booking extranet.
Heating, air conditioning and electricity
It is only possible to connect them as mandatory and year-round extras for the portals.
Synchronizes with Booking, Vrbo, Google, HomeToGo and the booking engine.
It can be synchronized both per stay and per day.
Booking: this extra will appear in the “VAT/fees/charges” section of your Booking extranet.
Linen
These extras can be connected to Booking, Airbnb, Google, Vrbo, HomeToGo and the booking engine.
It is only possible to connect them as mandatory and year-round extras for the portals.
It can be synchronized both per stay and per day.
Booking: this extra will appear in the “VAT/Fees/charges” section of your Booking extranet.
Airbnb: The linen commission is in addition to the cleaning fee. All other standard fees are included in the price per night when guests book. You will see a full breakdown in the charge report.
Internet
This extra can be connected to Booking, Google and booking engine.
Booking: this extra will appear in the “Establishment” --> “conditions section within your Booking extranet.
Booking: You can configure it per stay or per day but it is only informative. It will not be added to the amount of the reservation.
If you configure it per day, it will appear the amount that the guest will have to pay at the accommodation in case he/she is interested:

Booking: it is synchronized at the ad level and not at the accommodation unit level. If you have a partial accommodation and you configure an extra in each of the units that compose it, Booking will only show the extra of a single unit.
Booking engine and Google: unlike Booking, each extra will be shown in its corresponding rental unit.
Parking
It can be synchronized with Booking, Google and the booking engine.
Booking: this extra will appear on the facilities and services page and will show the price per day or per stay, depending on how you have configured it. If it is a partial accommodation, Booking will only apply the parking extra created in one of the units (it is not applied per rental unit, but per global ad). It is only informative, it will not be added to the price of the stay.
Booking: it is synchronized at the ad level and not at the accommodation unit level. If you have a partial accommodation and you configure an extra in each of the units that compose it, Booking will only show the extra of a single unit.
Booking engine and Google: unlike Booking, each extra will be shown in its corresponding rental unit.
