iCal synchronization is a simpler option, available to all users, but with limited functionality compared to XML.
📌iCal sync only updates the availability of the calendar. It does not transfer prices, content, restrictions, conditions, or reservation or guest data.
Steps to connect your accommodation with Vrbo iCal
Step 1: Start syncing to AvaiBook
Get the iCal link of AvaiBook
Log in to the Channel Manager section in your AvaiBook account.
Click Create sync.
Select Vrbo [iCal] as the channel and choose the accommodation you want to sync.
Click Export calendar.
Copy the iCal link provided.
Step 2: Log in to your Vrbo extranet
Importing the AvaiBook iCal link into Vrbo
Log in to your Vrbo account in the Dashboard section
Go to the View calendar section of the listing to sync
Click Availability and then click Sync calendars > connect calendars
Enter the AvaiBook url in the space provided and save.
To complete the synchronization and make it bidirectional, you need to export the Vrbo calendar and import it into AvaiBook. Vrbo will provide you with the URL corresponding to its calendar. Click on Export Calendar and copy the VRBO URL:
Step 3: Complete the synchronization on AvaiBook
Once copied, access AvaiBook and paste it in the dedicated field in the corresponding section.
The field to paste the Vrbo URL into AvaiBook will only activate after importing the AvaiBook URL into Vrbo. Click Save Configuration.
Important considerations
Not immediate update: Vrbo can take several hours to update the imported information.
Two-way synchronization: We send and receive availability.
No inclusion of reservations or prices: iCal does not transfer data such as guest name, amount, or number of people.

Consider enabling the full XML connection for more advanced integration.
