Rate Synchronization:

  • Rates are synchronized (season and default rate) for the base capacity (minimum occupancy) that you have configured in Avaibook.

  • Minimum stay restrictions, day of arrival and/or departure and forced weekend are synchronized.

  • The maximum advance booking is synchronized.

  • It is possible to create customized charging rules as it is more convenient for your accommodation model.

  • Prices for additional persons are not synchronized. You will need to set up the supplement manually in Expedia.

  • The capacity of your accommodation is not synchronized. AvaiBook will send prices to the number of people requesting Expedia for the synchronized rate.

  • No offers or extras can be synchronized. They must be created directly on the portal.

  • The minimum reservation time is not synchronized. You must configure them directly in the portal.

  • The rate and availability information that will be prioritized in Expedia will be the one configured in AvaiBook. You will be able to configure increases or decreases on your prices for this portal.

  • Try to keep your rates and availability updated for at least the next 12 months.

Availability and Booking Synchronization:

  • The AvaiBook calendar is synchronized with the Expedia calendar in real time.

  • Remember that Expedia gives priority to the AvaiBook calendar. It is essential that you keep your calendar updated in AvaiBook.

  • Expedia bookings will automatically register in AvaiBook.

  • Complete traveler data is recorded (name, email, comments, etc.)

  • Card information is recorded and card validation is performed. Remember that the cards remain active up to 7 days after departure.

  • Cancellations are recorded. In the case of a pre-synchronization reservation, AvaiBook will notify you of the cancellation so that you can update your calendar.

  • Changes in dates and card details are automatically recorded.

  • Changes in room or accommodation are not recorded. AvaiBook will notify you of a change in the reservation that could not be processed. You can easily modify the assigned accommodation from our website.

  • Reconciliations are not recorded. You must contact one of our agents to correctly manage this type of cancellation in the portal.


  • Currently it is not possible to synchronize content with Expedia. Therefore, we cannot send from AvaiBook photos, descriptions, amenities, cancellation policies or other rules of the establishment.

Exclusive Unit:

  • The exclusive unit can only be sold by Expedia, so the availability of this unit will only be discounted when a reservation is received from the portal.

  • If Expedia only sells exclusive space, even if there is no longer availability in the synchronized accommodations, Expedia will not discount availability from the exclusive space.

This can only happen if you have agreed in your contract with Expedia to accept this premise and can only be applied in cases where Expedia has not made any reservations on your behalf for the dates.
