To remain aligned with Rentalia and adapt the payment operations for this portal, payment rules now have an independent configuration from the booking engine. This allows charges applied to reservations coming from this channel to be managed specifically.
Where can payment rules be configured?
Once the connection with Rentalia has been completed, within the portal configuration page you will find the "Scheduled Charges Settings" section, where you can define the payment rules for this channel.
Allowed configuration
Please note that only the following charges can be configured:
A deposit payment
The remaining balance of the reservation
🚨 It is not possible to configure additional charges beyond these two concepts, such as preauthorizations for security deposits or other extra charges.
Managing other amounts
In cases where you need to manage other amounts, such as:
Preauthorizations for security deposits
Additional services or extra charges
These operations will not be included within the automatic payment rules configuration and must be managed manually.
Management recommendations
From AvaiBook, these operations can be managed manually by accessing the reservation details and clicking on "Create operation". From this option, you will be able to:
Perform a preauthorization to manage the security deposit.
Perform a manual charge for additional services or extra amounts.
In addition, for additional services or other extra charges, you can also use the Pay by Link feature by sending the guest a payment link to complete the transaction.
Please note that, in these cases, the process becomes fully manual and will not be linked to the automated payment rules configured for Rentalia.
This way, you can continue maintaining your usual operations while adapting them to the configuration available for Rentalia.
Updating payment rules for Rentalia
If you need to modify Rentalia's payment rules, you can do so from any of the following access points:
1. From the portal connection within each property in AvaiBook, by accessing it through the Channel Manager.
2. From Online Payments > Settings.
3. Directly from the property details page.
This allows you to keep Rentalia’s payment configuration always updated quickly and easily ✨
How are Rentalia reservation payments settled?
The settlement process will depend on the type of plan you have active.
If you have a special Rentalia plan
By default, properties have anti-fraud protection enabled.
Therefore, collected amounts will be automatically held in custody until 48 hours after the check-in date.
Once this period has passed, the system will make the collected amount available—after deducting the bank gateway fees—as available balance for transfer to the bank account registered in AvaiBook.
⚠️ If you want to disable anti-fraud protection, you must first complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process.
If you have an AvaiBook payment plan
The settlement process will depend on whether anti-fraud protection is enabled for the property.
With anti-fraud protection enabled
Collected amounts will remain in custody until 48 hours after check-in.
After this period, the system will make the collected amount available, after deducting bank gateway fees, as available balance for transfer to the bank account configured in AvaiBook.
Without anti-fraud protection enabled
Collected amounts will remain in custody until the cancellation policy configured in the property details in AvaiBook has expired.
Once this period has passed, that is, when the guest is no longer entitled to a refund of the deposit, the system will make the collected amount available, after deducting bank gateway fees, as available balance for transfer to the registered bank account.
This ensures that settlements are processed according to the security and cancellation settings configured for each property ✨
