Difference between Lite Sync and FullSync connection with Booking.com

Lite Sync connection vs. FullSync Booking.com

Written by Adriana Silva

If you want to manage your property on Booking through AvaiBook, it is important to understand the differences between the two available connection types: Lite Sync and Full Sync. This article explains each option in detail, as well as the requirements needed to move to a full connection.

What is the Lite Sync connection

The Lite Sync connection allows you to synchronize only basic information:

  • Calendar availability

  • Default nightly rates and seasonal rates

  • Minimum stays

Everything else, such as listing content, rate plans, and extras, must be managed directly on Booking.com.

To create a new listing with this mode, you must first configure it on Booking and then synchronize it from AvaiBook.

What is the Full Sync connection

The Full Sync connection provides much more complete synchronization:

  • Listing content management

  • Rate plans created directly in AvaiBook

  • Property occupancy

  • Prices for additional services

One of the main advantages of Full Sync is that it allows you to create new listings on Booking directly from AvaiBook, without the need to configure them in Booking first. This makes management faster and more centralized.

Requirements and Information to review before activating Full Sync

Before moving from the limited connection to the full connection, it is essential to review the following points in AvaiBook:

Critical information to check:

  • Listing content management

  • Geolocation

  • Tourist license

Compatibility restrictions:

FullSync is not compatible if:

  • There are breakfast-included rates configured on Booking

  • There are supplements or extras different from those already synchronized on Booking

  • The property setup in Booking is different from AvaiBook (for example, if the properties are full units in AvaiBook, they must also be full units in Booking, with different IDs for each unit)

  • Separate rates exist for adults and children in Booking

  • Turbosuite is being used

  • The property in AvaiBook is partial with multiple units and, on Booking, these do not have distinct commercial names. If any name is repeated, synchronization will not be allowed.

Advantages of Full Sync

  • Centralized management of content and rates

  • Occupancy and extras synchronization

  • Ability to create new listings directly from AvaiBook

  • Greater control over the information synchronized with Booking

For those who want to maximize automation and reduce manual tasks, the Full Sync mode is clearly the most complete and advantageous.

To activate the Full Sync connection, you must ensure that the property meets all the above requirements. After that, the transition can be initiated directly from AvaiBook.
