DNI 3.0 (2015 – 2021)

In this document format we find the date right at the bottom of the shield and above the signature, accompanied by the word "Validity" and below it the exact date. For the date of issue, you need to look at the thumbnail photo of your hologram, with the date superimposed.

DNIE (2006 – 2015)

In the case of the electronic DNI, under the chip we find the date of issue and practically next to it we also find the expiry date, expressed as "valid until".

DNI 4.0

This is the current format used.

The issue date can be found on the front of the document under the word "Issuance". Right next to it we also see the expiry date under the writing "Validity".

For German identity cards (Personalausweis), the issue date can be found on the back of the document. It is shown as "Datum/Date/Date" followed by the date.

In Austria, the date of issue of the identity card (Personalausweis) is shown in the central part of the back of the document. It is referred to as "Datum der Ausstellung".

For Belgian ID cards, the date of issue is at the bottom of the front. Shown under the title "Valiide du-"

In Bulgaria, identity cards (Лична карта) show the date of issue in the central part of the back, under the "Date of issue" field.

In Croatia, the date of issue of the identity card (Osobna iskaznica) is found in the central part of the back, under the field "Datum izdavanja/Date of issue"

For Slovak identity cards (Občiansky preukaz), the issue date can be found at the bottom of the front, under the "Dátum vydania/Issuance date" field

In the Czech Republic the date of issue of the identity card (Občanský průkaz) is located at the bottom of the front, under the "Datum vydání/Date of issue" field

For French identity cards (Carte Nationale d'Identité), the issue date is located at the top of the back, under the "Date de délivrance/Date of issue" field.

In Hungary, identity cards (Személyi igazolvány) show the date of issue in the central part of the back, under the "Kiállítva" field.

In Italy, the date of issue of the identity document (Identity Card) is found at the bottom of the front, under the "Issuing" field.

For Norwegian identity cards (ID-kort), the issue date is located at the bottom of the front, under the "Utstedt given" field.

In Poland, identity cards (Dowód osobisty) have the date of issue on the bottom of the front, under the "Date wydania/Date of issue" field

In Portugal the identity document (Cartão de Cidadão) does not have an issue date.

In Romania, the date of issue of the identity document (Buletin de Identitate) is found at the bottom of the front, under the "Valabiliotate/Validiti/Validity" field

In Sweden, identity cards (ID-kort) have the date of issue on the bottom of the front, under the "Utfärdand/Date of issue" field
