When you manage manual bookings or need a traveller to update their payment details, you can use the Traveller Credit Card tool to request, insert or modify the card associated with the booking.
When can this tool be useful?
If you have created a manual booking and do not yet have the traveller's card details.
If the traveler wants to change the card because the previous one is expired, has no balance, or simply wants to use another one.
Request a card from the traveler
Access the booking card from the Planning → Bookings menu.
Click the "Add Card" button.
By clicking on "Send", the traveller will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to enter their card details securely.
Optionally, you can add a custom message that will be included in the email that will be sent to them.
📩 The system will notify you when the traveler has successfully completed the operation or if any error has occurred.
Require the traveller to amend their card
If the card already entered is invalid (for example, it is expired or has no balance), you can ask the traveler to replace it:
On the booking card, click on "Modify card".
Indicate the reason for the request:
Expired card
Insufficient balance
The traveler requests the change
Others
Add an explanatory message if you consider it necessary.
Click "Submit" to forward the request to the traveler.
How long does the traveller have to insert or modify their card?
The traveller has 24 hours to carry out the operation from the time the request is sent.
All of this communication will be reflected in the conversation history of the booking, whether you ask the traveller to modify the existing card or add a new one.
Additional information
This feature is especially useful for ensuring the validity of payments before check-in.
Make sure you have a valid email address for the traveler so that they can successfully receive the request.
