Seasonal management modes

It is possible that when a traveler makes a reservation he/she chooses dates in which two or more seasons are overlapping at the same time. At AvaiBook we allow you to choose how restrictive you want to be when these circumstances occur according to your business model.

You can define the mode of managing your seasons from the menu Accommodations -> My Accommodations.
Choose the property where you want to update this information and go to the Booking Options tab so you will have to choose one of the three options we are proposing.

When you're done, hit the Save button.

Differences between season management modes

There are 3 options to choose from:

  • PERMISSIVE (ACCORDING TO THE DAY OF ENTRY): The restrictions of the minimum nights, mandatory entry and exit day and forced weekend of the season of the date of entry of the reservation will be taken into account.

Example

A reservation with arrival date 3/7/2022 and departure date 6/7/2022 is possible since it complies with season 1 (check-in date season) with a minimum stay of 2 nights (night of 3 and 4 of July)

  • MODERATE: You must meet at least the minimum days required in the most restrictive season. Only the nights booked in that specific season are taken into account, not the total.

Example

A reservation is possible with arrival date 4/7/2022 and departure date 9/7/2022

Season 2 is the most restrictive with a minimum stay of 4 nights (nights on July 5, 6, 7, 8)

  • RESTRICTIVE: The reservation must meet the minimum days required in each of the seasons that affect the chosen dates.

Example

A reservation is possible with arrival date 3/7/2022 and departure date 9/7/2022

Complies with season 1 with a minimum stay of 2 nights (night of July 3 and 4) and complies with season 2 with a minimum stay of 4 nights (night of 5,6,7,8,9)
