Payment signature and acceptance during Fast Check-in

Fast Check-in | Card Payments | Chargeback | Payment Consent | Payment Receipt

Written by Adriana Silva

To strengthen payment security and provide greater protection against potential disputes or chargebacks, AvaiBook has introduced a new layer of consent during the Fast Check-in process.

This consent is automatically recorded and becomes part of both the booking and payment receipts, providing greater traceability for every transaction.

For bookings with a registered payment card:

  • Guests must explicitly accept the payment terms before completing the Fast Check-in process.

  • If the booking also includes a contract, they must also accept its terms.

  • It will not be possible to complete the Fast Check-in without accepting the required consents.

What information is recorded?

Once the conditions have been accepted, AvaiBook will automatically store:

  • The guest's signature.

  • The date and time of acceptance.

  • The IP address from which the acceptance was made.

This information will be linked to the booking as evidence of the guest's consent.

Where can I find this information?

The recorded information will be available in the:

  • Booking receipt.

  • Payment receipt.

This means that both documents will include additional information that may be useful in the event of payment-related incidents or disputes.

What are the benefits of this feature?

  • Strengthen the security of card payments.

  • Provide stronger evidence in the event of chargebacks or payment disputes.

  • Improve the traceability of guest consent.

  • Increase confidence in payment processes managed through AvaiBook.
