If in addition to the Booking Engine, you continue to receive direct sales "manually" (via phone, email...) you must have a PSD2 compliant management software such as AvaiBook, which allows you to collect the traveller's card details in a secure and "PSD2 compliant" way:

  • When you register a booking manually in AvaiBook, the system will be "smart" in identifying when a payer is or is not affected by PSD2, and when it can be considered within an exclusion/exception. It will allow you to collect the traveller's card details in a secure and "PSD2 compliant" way if the traveller's card is affected by the SCA.

How do we do this? By sending an email that takes the traveller to a screen where they can securely enter their card details and authenticate with SCA.

  • Keep in mind that PSD2 is aimed at providing greater security in payments, and with regard to the collection of data in manual bookings: If the card is affected by PSD2 it will not be possible to enter the card data manually in AvaiBook, but it will be the traveller who will have to provide it through a link that will facilitate the authentication of the traveller and the management of the payment.
