Minimum advance notice lets you set how far in advance travellers must book. This setting helps you prepare your property and manage last-minute arrivals.
However, the same value can produce different booking cut-off times, because each channel uses a different reference point for the calculation.
How is it calculated in AvaiBook?
In the AvaiBook booking engine, minimum advance notice is calculated from the check-in time configured for the property.
For example, if you set check-in to 15:00 and minimum advance notice to 6 hours, travellers can book for that day until 09:00.
If you set 24 hours, the cut-off will be 15:00 on the previous day.
How is it applied on connected booking channels?
Booking.com
With a Full Sync connection, minimum advance notice is synchronised in hours and days. Booking.com uses the end of the check-in date, at 24:00, as its reference point, regardless of the property’s check-in time.
For example, with 6 hours’ advance notice, the calculated cut-off is 18:00 on the same day.
Airbnb
Airbnb uses 23:59 on the check-in date as its reference point, rather than the configured check-in time.
For example, with 6 hours’ advance notice, the cut-off will be 17:59 on the same day. With 24 hours, it will be 23:59 on the previous day.
Vrbo and HomeToGo
When synchronising with AvaiBook, these channels use advance notice in days. Values of 6, 12 or 18 hours are treated as 0 days, meaning this restriction does not prevent same-day bookings.
To set one day’s advance notice, select 1 day in AvaiBook.
Expedia
Minimum advance notice configured in AvaiBook is not synchronised with Expedia. This setting therefore does not determine the booking cut-off on that channel.

📝 0 days does not mean the property is always available. It means this restriction does not require bookings to be made days in advance. Availability and all other booking conditions still apply.
What minimum advance notice should I choose?
Choose the amount of notice you need to organise arrivals and check how it is applied on the channels you work with.
Keep in mind that:
18 hours may still allow same-day bookings on Booking.com and Airbnb.
On Vrbo and HomeToGo, 18 hours are treated as 0 days.
24 hours does not produce the same booking cut-off time on every channel, because each one uses its own reference point.
